What is Brazilian Zouk? Brazilian Zouk is a flowing partner dance from Brazil, combining playful turns, body movement and musicality with a strong focus on connection. You dance together, communicate through movement and learn to adapt to each other. It can look impressive, but you don’t need any dance experience to start! What to expect? We want to create a relaxed, welcoming and familiar space where you can feel comfortable trying things out, making mistakes and discovering your own way of dancing. Together, we’ll explore: 🤝 Connecting with your partner, learning to lead, follow, listen and communicate through movement. 🌿 Connecting with yourself, becoming aware of your body, finding balance and learning to relax. 🕺💃 Finding your role, discovering whether you enjoy leading, following, or both. You don’t need to sign up with a partner! 🎶 Moving with the music, getting a feel for the rhythm and learning some of the foundations of Brazilian Zouk. We’ll rotate partners, take breaks and learn step by step. Most importantly, we want to create a space where you can have fun, meet people and enjoy dancing together. No previous dance experience needed. Just bring yourself and a willingness to move! Wear comfortable clothes; we usually dance in socks.
